Helping startups as a fractional CTO

Startup founders without a tech co-founder have vision about the business but struggle to find the right team, understand the jargons, control the timeline or expenses, define requirements etc. As a fractional CTO, I help such founders get the desired results in a cost effective manner. Also, with my involvement they can focus on other aspects of the business like team building, sales etc. Also, thanks to the exposure of serving startups from across the globe, I also help these founders in laying a better foundation for the business.

Having worked with over 250 startups across various domains and at different stages of their lifecycle I could see a vast difference in the approaches. At one end, we have business owners who understands the importance of processes and cohesiveness within the team and are in constant lookout to improve while at the exact opposite extreme end there are founders who are reliant only on themselves and constantly involved in firefighting. Such owners fail to grow the business despite having a good team and great opportunity in the market and go through personal burnout during their time in the business.

Training teams for success

The responsibility of a company is to serve the customer. The responsibility of leadership is to serve their people so that their people may better serve the customer. If leaders fail to serve their people first, both customer and company will suffer.

At Gyrix we pulled off great work only because we were able to constantly build awesome team. We served a Forbes 30 under 30 with a team member who had 1 year of experience, we served an OBE where the team leader completed only 6 month post his graduation. While they are exceptional people, we were able to identify their potential, train them, sharpen their skills and give them opportunity.

While working for entrepreneurs I also help them train their team on personal growth and leadership so they can help organisations achieve their missions in flying colours.

Helping students

Even before starting up Gyrix where we have constantly hired young college students in both part-time and full-time roles, I was part of the college placement team in a leadership role and have closely watched the campus hiring process for my batch and both immediate senior and junior batches. And while in job, due to an inclination I started helping my managers in hiring for our team.

I have seen life at both ends of the table, and love interacting with young minds in their own lingo with a hope that I would be able to add some value in moulding their approach towards life in general and also give specific inputs regarding career, growth, happiness, and hardships.
